Job Purpose:
The T24 Administrator controls, maintains and supports the Temenos T24 core banking system ensuring stability, availability, and optimal performance. He/ She manages system configurations, access controls, and technical operations to support day-to-day banking activities and business continuity. The T24 Administrator ensures secure, compliant, and efficient operation of the core banking environment across all system environments.
Key Accountabilities:
- Installs, configures, and maintains the T24 core banking application across development, UAT, and production environments.
- Monitors system performance and implements optimization measures to ensure system stability and availability.
- Manages system upgrades, patches, and version migrations in line with vendor and Bank standards.
- Performs regular system health checks and scheduled maintenance activities.
- Administers database operations, including backups, recovery, archiving, and performance monitoring.
- Creates and manages user accounts, roles, and access permissions in accordance with security policies.
- Implements and enforces system security controls and access management standards.
- Monitors system usage and user activities and generates audit and compliance reports.
- Ensures compliance with internal security policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.
- Provides technical support to end-users and resolves T24 system issues and incidents.
- Investigates and troubleshoots application errors, batch failures, and performance issues.
- Coordinates with vendors and Temenos support to resolve complex technical problems.
- Documents incidents, resolutions, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Configures T24 modules, including products, limits, accounts, parameters, and workflows.
- Manages COB and SOD processes and ensures successful batch execution.
- Implements approved business requirements through system configuration and parameterization.
- Supports integration between T24 and third-party systems and applications.
- Generates system reports and operational analytics for management and stakeholders.
- Maintains technical documentation, system procedures, and change records.
- Develops user guides and contributes to system training and knowledge transfer.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, IT Applications, or a related discipline.
- Professional certification in Temenos T24 is highly preferred; ITIL certification is desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in T24 administration or core banking systems with hands-on exposure to retail, corporate, deposits, and lending modules.
- Strong knowledge of COB and SOD processes and batch job management.
- Proven proficiency in T24 / Temenos Transact system administration.
- Working knowledge of jBASE programming language.
- Solid understanding of MS SQL databases.
- Familiarity with Microsoft operating systems and server environments.
- Exposure to TAFJ (T24 Application Framework for Java) is an advantage.
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, including console, CLI, and networking.
- Experience with shell scripting; familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform is an advantage.
