⚡️ What To Do
- Build the security program and governance model (policies, standards, processes, internal regulations)
- Identify, assess, and manage security risks; drive mitigation projects and track execution
- Evaluate cybersecurity events and coordinate incident response and follow-ups
- Select and implement security technologies and define operating procedures across different departments, from HR to engineering
- Own security awareness and training programs; measure effectiveness
- Establish and run access management processes (permissions reviews, privileged access, joiner/mover/leaver controls)
- Lead vendor/third-party security assessments and define security requirements in contracts
- Provide regular security reporting to executive leadership and support business continuity planning
- Design the hiring plan, defining roles, responsibilities, and process ownership as the team scales
- Hold a relevant degree in IT, information security, or security, or demonstrate equivalent work experience
- Bring proven information security experience in a complex organization (building/scaling a function is a strong advantage)
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of relevant security regulations and standards applicable to the business, across both corporate and product domains
- Have hands-on experience with risk analysis, incident management, and audit/assurance activities
- Manage stakeholders effectively and communicate clearly with executives/the board
- Define KPIs, tooling strategy, incident protocols, and operating processes
- Manage vendors and budgets confidently
- Handle breaches, audits, and continuity scenarios with confidence
- Operate both strategically and hands-on in an early-stage security function
