NOC Engineer

Role: NOC Engineer

We are searching for a versatile Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer with a broad understanding of infrastructure and a passion for security. Join our client's team and contribute to the stability, security, and enhancement of their IT environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Generalist: Provide hands-on expertise across our infrastructure while contributing to a secure and reliable environment.
• Alert Monitoring and Response: Manage and triage network and security alerts, helping to build out and optimize alerting capabilities.
• Knowledge Sharing: Upskill team members and the wider business on security principles and best practices, promoting a security-aware culture.
• Collaboration: Partner with our Networking team, who currently manage firewalls, and work with our Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) for technical tasks like vulnerability management.
• Technology Utilization: Work with systems such as SIEM, DMARC, and Endpoint Security to ensure optimal performance and security alignment.
• Communication: Clearly and effectively communicate technical concepts and findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

About You

• Technical Expertise: Broad experience across IT infrastructure, with exposure to or an interest in security technologies.
• Hands-On Skills: Familiarity with monitoring tools like SIEM, endpoint protection systems, and email authentication protocols (e.g., DMARC).
• Problem-Solver: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, especially in managing alerts and responding to incidents.
• Collaborator: Team-oriented individual who thrives in a collaborative environment, working across technical and non-technical teams.
• Communicator: Excellent communication skills, essential for educating team members and explaining complex issues.
