DevOps Engineer – Province of Antwerp – Freelance 12 months+

For a leading defence & space manufacturing organisation based in the province of Antwerp, I am looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer (3+ years) to support the rollout of a new DevOps infrastructure.

This role offers 2 days working from home per week.

Responsibilities:

• You design, build, and roll out a new DevOps infrastructure to support modern software delivery pipelines.

• You set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.

• You design and implement containerisation strategies using Docker.

• You ensure infrastructure is scalable, reliable, and aligned with best DevOps practices.

• You contribute to automation, standardisation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• You operate within a structured, security-conscious environment typical of defence and space projects.

Skills Required:

• You have 3+ years of experience working as a DevOps Engineer.

• You have strong hands-on experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipeline design.

• You have proven experience setting up Docker and working with containerised environments.

• You have a solid understanding of DevOps best practices, automation, and infrastructure modernisation.

• You are comfortable working in complex, engineering-led environments.

• You are proactive, pragmatic, and able to work autonomously.

• You are fluent in English; Dutch is a bonus.
