Love games? Curious about the legal side of making them? Come join us at Supercell in Helsinki!

Supercell is a game company based in Helsinki, Finland, with offices in San Francisco, Seoul, Shanghai, and London. Since our launch in 2010, we've brought several games to the global market, such as Hay Day, Clash of Clans, Boom Beach, Clash Royale, and Brawl Stars. Our dream is to create great games that as many people as possible play for years and that are remembered forever.

What you’ll be doing

As a Legal Trainee, you’ll be part of the legal team that makes magic happen behind the scenes. You’ll work on a variety of in-house legal tasks, focusing on contracts and commercial matters. Think smooth contract processes, supporting business owners, and answering legal questions. All while keeping things running like a well-oiled machine.

  • Reviewing contracts (especially commercial agreements)
  • Managing the legal inbox and contract workflows via our contract lifecycle management platform, in collaboration with our Contract Manager
  • Supporting the legal team and business owners with tasks big and small
  • Communicating between different internal stakeholders

The best teams make the best games

You’ll be based in our Helsinki office, home to colleagues from over 40 nationalities united by a love of games. And our legal team? Seven passionate pros who support every corner of Supercell. We value independence, curiosity, and a self-directed mindset. Asking questions and learning as you go? Perfect, that’s part of the fun.

We have two openings:

  • First starts in August 2026
  • Second starts in February 2027

Both are full-time, eight-month fixed-term roles. Got a preference? Tell us in your application. Open to both? That’s cool too.

What you have

  • At least 180 ECTS in legal studies
  • Familiarity with contract law basics
  • A business-oriented mindset and some legal work experience (another traineeship counts!)
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
  • A proactive, self-directed approach and eagerness to learn

Would be nice if you also had

  • A love for games or the gaming industry
  • Experience in contract drafting and review
  • Basic knowledge of IPR and data protection
  • Familiarity with consumer protection and marketing laws

Why you might love it here

We make great games by putting together the best teams and giving them the freedom and independence to succeed. And by taking risks, failing, sharing learnings, and killing lots of projects.

Here’s what makes Supercell special:

  • Independent teams and trust at the core of our culture
  • Empowerment to make decisions that matter
  • Ownership beyond your role, use your talents where they shine
  • “Disagree and commit”: trust each other even when opinions differ
