About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Project Manager to join our client's team. This is a dynamic role that bridges the gap between technical IT development and real-world business operations. You will act as the business lead on key IT projects, ensuring that new systems and processes are effectively tested, rolled out, and supported to meet the needs of our stakeholders and the general public.

This is a 6 month Assignment, with 2 days per week on site in Dublin City (Tuesday being an anchor day).

Key Responsibilities

Project & Test Management

  • System Testing: Take full ownership of the testing lifecycle, including developing test plans and executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Manage internal and external testers, coordinating business sign-offs, change board approvals, and release management.
  • Liaison: Work closely with the PMO, IT Security, internal business units and vendors to ensure project alignment.

Change Management & Analysis

  • Business Analysis: Conduct impact assessments for both small and large-scale technical changes, utilising data analysis and business knowledge.
  • Documentation: Draft essential project rollout materials, including user guides, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training manuals.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Act as a point of contact for external public bodies, government departments, and third-party suppliers.
  • Operations & Support

    • Service Management: Oversee the specialised Helpdesk service, prioritising ticket fixes and managing service patches or urgent releases.
    • Critical Support: Act as the business representative during system outages and Priority 1 (P1) issues to ensure business continuity.
    • Contract Management: Collaborate with IT Contract Managers to track KPI performance, audit the quality of deliverables, and handle vendor escalations.

    Requirements

    • Education: A Third Level Qualification is required.
    • Experience: A proven track record in project delivery and change management using established frameworks and methodologies (e.g., Prince2, Agile, or similar).
    • Technical Skills: Strong experience in UAT and the IT development lifecycle (SDLC).
    • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal skills, with the ability to translate complex technical details into clear insights for senior leadership.
    • Mindset: A "self-starter" who can work on their own initiative, possessing excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
