Working as a Project Manager at GXO Logistics

To expand our Central Project Management team, we are looking for a Project Manager. In this independent, challenging role, you will work on various projects; from implementing a globally known brand in a new warehouse to managing an improvement project at an existing location. You will work within our BeNe & Nordics region (Belgium, the Netherlands and 2 Nordic countries) and report directly to the Head of Project Management. This role is based from our HQ in Eindhoven and does include travel, so a valid EU driving license is essential.

What does your day as a Project Manager look like?

In the position of Project Manager, you are responsible for managing customer-specific implementations of warehouse solutions. You will coordinate the implementation of systems, operational improvement projects, logistics engineering, automation and you will work closely with Business Development and Solutions Design teams. You switch between functional needs and technical solutions without losing sight of the different interests. You communicate clearly and stand for a high-quality result.


  • Defining and developing projects according to customer needs, according to agreed internal procedures
  • Drawing up project plans and budgets
  • Communicating the draft project plan to the client and incorporating any feedback into a final project plan
  • Execute and implement projects in accordance with the project plan and internal procedures
  • Making agreements and maintaining contacts with suppliers about the implementation and delivery
  • Monitoring and evaluating projects so that, if necessary, measures can be taken in time so that the project proceeds according to the project plan
  • Communicating and reporting to customers and the internal organization, including steering committees and operational organizations
  • Monitoring project progress and project costs

What do you need to be successful?


  • 3+ years of experience as a logistics project manager and implementing new customers/sites + onboarding
  • Experience with project management methodologies (such as Prince 2 or PMP)
  • Knowledge of operational logistics processes and experience with automated systems to support these processes
  • Familiar with setting up ICT systems and setting up and executing test scenarios
  • Good command of the English language, both verbally and in writing
