Senior Project Manager – Design
Location: UAE
Sector: Arts, Culture, Design & Creative Industries
Reports To: Director – Design
Managing the projects undertaken by the department by developing and implementing project management processes, preparing reports and budgets, and conducting comprehensive analyses. The aim is to establish and complete projects on schedule and in accordance with international best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures for planned projects and provide ongoing improvements to these procedures to ensure that departmental projects adhere to applicable international best practices.
- Oversee the study of sector-related projects and understand their requirements, objectives, and purposes.
- Ensure that expenditures are calculated correctly; otherwise, research must be conducted and support and rationale provided for any identified discrepancies.
- Evaluate and monitor the performance and efficiency of all relevant projects and programs to ensure that programs are implemented as planned.
- Review formal communication forms with relevant project stakeholders and support the development of qualification requirements for consultants engaged.
- Coordinate with staff, team members, and relevant stakeholders regarding reporting on major related projects, including but not limited to: conducting preliminary studies, project resource planning, managing budgets and planning requirements, reporting to management, ensuring quality, managing risks, analyzing and developing business processes, and negotiating contracts.
- Lead and coordinate all stakeholder activities to support the project and develop strategies to ensure adherence to the established timeline, accuracy, and appropriate and effective communication.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on project management matters to facilitate the flow of information.
- Provide support to external departments by collecting and analyzing data during the process of defining and developing business processes, policies, and procedures, and/or continuing their implementation.
- Oversee project planning processes in general by preparing reports on project timelines and deliverables.
- Coordinate internal and external reporting by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and information relevant to all projects
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Applied Arts, Design, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant project management experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience in project planning, stakeholder management, and analytical assessment.
