About the Job: We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master with strong Release Management expertise to support a fast-paced retail environment. This role will act as the Scrum Master for our retail client while also owning end-to-end release coordination across multiple projects and teams. The individual will ensure releases are well planned, controlled, and aligned with organizational release protocols, while maintaining clear communication with leadership and stakeholders.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Own and manage release cycles for multiple recurring projects in the retail portfolio.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute weekly releases as well as ad-hoc releases when required.
  • Work closely with Scrum Masters from other teams to coordinate consolidated releases.
  • Ensure adherence to established release governance, protocols, and quality standards.
  • Maintain strong control over release scope, timelines, dependencies, and risks.
  • Proactively communicate release status, risks, and readiness to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Drive release planning and obtain release sign-off at a program or portfolio level.
  • Support offshore teams during critical release windows, including rare off-hours coordination when necessary.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration between development, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
  • Act as Scrum Master for a QA-focused team including performance testers, regression testers, and web QA engineers.




Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • 7- 9 years of hands-on experience as a Scrum Master in Agile / Scrum environments.

· Strong hands-on experience in Release Management across multiple projects.

· Experience working closely with QA teams, including performance and regression testing.

· Excellent understanding of release planning, dependency management, and risk mitigation.

· Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including leadership-level reporting.

· Ability to manage frequent releases in a high-paced delivery environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the retail or e-commerce domain.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and release automation.
  • Experience working in scaled Agile environments (SAFe or similar).

Benefits

Salary Range: $90,000 to $100,000 CAD/ year

The final compensation offered will depend on local market conditions and geographic location, as well as job-related factors such as the candidate’s knowledge, skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and education/training. Compensation may also include additional components such as benefits, and/or other incentives, where applicable.
