Do you want to be part of the team responsible for monitoring and protecting the data centres behind one of the world’s most widely used digital platforms?
We’re recruiting on behalf of a global technology services provider supporting a major international technology organisation with large-scale, distributed data centre operations. This role sits within a centralised incident response and operations function, providing real-time visibility and coordination across multiple data centres.
The Role:
You’ll operate as a first responder within a global data centre operations team, monitoring systems and coordinating responses when incidents occur. Rather than hands-on engineering, your focus will be on situational awareness, impact assessment, and response coordination.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring and responding to alarms and alerts generated by DCIM platforms, server automation systems (SAOS), CCTV, access control systems (ACS), and environmental, health, safety, and security systems
- Assessing the severity and potential impact of incidents and communicating this clearly to resolver and engineering teams
- Acting as a coordination point during active incidents, ensuring the right teams are engaged at the right time
- Managing incidents through structured ticketing workflows, ensuring actions and updates are accurately recorded
- Supporting investigations into incidents and contributing to root cause analysis for recurring issues
- Working within established SOPs to ensure consistent, high-quality incident handling
- Supporting wider operational initiatives and continuous improvement across data centre operations
Requirements:
- 2+ years’ experience in a 24/7 command centre, NOC, SOC, service centre, or operations environment
- Experience working with monitoring and alerting platforms such as DCIM, server automation tools, or security and access control systems
- Ability to triage multiple incidents simultaneously and prioritise based on risk, impact, and confidence
- General technical understanding of IP networks, data centre environments, and server health indicators
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a calm, structured approach during incidents
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with global teams
- Awareness of data protection and information security responsibilities when handling sensitive data
Why Apply?
- Exposure to large-scale, global data centre operations
- Hands-on experience with enterprise monitoring and incident response tooling
- High-visibility role supporting mission-critical infrastructure
