Procurement Director LATAM

Senior Procurement Professional needed to lead the LATAM procurement strategy supporting the rapidly expanding wind and BESS project pipeline across Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Chile and other key markets.This executive role drives strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and procurement excellence across manufacturing operations and multi-gigawatt project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategy across LATAM wind projects, overseeing spend in manufacturing components, EPC services, and project logistics.
• Lead strategic sourcing for turbine components, tower fabrication, nacelle assembly, and factory optimization across regional manufacturing hubs.
• Align procurement with project execution timelines, managing PTCI (Port, Transport, Crane, Installation) contracts and critical path supply chain for 1GW+ portfolios.
• Partner with C-suite, regional GM's, and JV partners across Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia to optimize total cost of ownership and supply chain resilience.
• Build strategic partnerships with tier-1 manufacturers, EPC contractors, and logistics providers; negotiate long-term framework agreements.
• Establish procurement governance framework compliant with IFRS, local regulations, and ESG standards.
• Build and mentor high-performing LATAM procurement team.

Requirements

• 15+ years procurement leadership in manufacturing and project delivery environments (wind, solar, oil & gas infrastructure)
• Proven LATAM/regional experience managing cross-border supply chains (Brazil, Mexico essential)
• Manufacturing procurement expertise - turbine OEMs, steel fabrication, component localization strategies
• Major project delivery - PTCI contracts, EPC integration, schedule-driven environments
• Executive presence - track record presenting to boards, negotiating with OEMs
• Fluency in English and Portuguese ideal. Spanish will be a plus.
