Senior Java Developer - Front Office, Java, Pricing, Real Time, High Volume, Cloud - Permanent, Hybrid - Up to £85,000 Base + Bonus.

My Client, A Leading Investment Bank is seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to join their Front Office London Team on a Permanent Basis.

They are seeking a Front Office Java Engineer to work directly with traders on high-volume, real-time pricing platforms. This role sits at the heart of the Front Office, building data-rich systems responsible for publishing tradable prices used by the business to buy and sell in fast-moving markets.

This is a highly visible position requiring both strong technical capability and the soft skills to partner closely with traders, understand requirements, and translate them into robust, low-latency solutions. You will be responsible for supporting the building and enhancing real-time Java pricing systems handling high-volume trades. In addition, you will contribute to the designing and maintaining data-rich applications processing large volumes of market data.

To be successful you will have.

• Front Office / trading systems exposure (pricing environments beneficial but not a requirement)
• Java engineering experience in real-time systems
• Experience working on high-volume, low-latency applications
• Hands-on knowledge of messaging and streaming technologies (Kafka, Solace, etc.)
• Comfortable working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage traders and gather requirements
