We're looking for an experienced AI and Machine Learning Engineer to join our team and help shape the future of data-driven products.
The AI & ML Engineer plays a critical role in building data-driven products and analytical solutions that drives Greenstone's business outcomes. This role will particularly focus on developing and maintaining machine learning models and AI algorithms that power product features, enhance customer experiences, and optimise decision-making.
Working closely with product owners, data analysts/scientists, and wider business stakeholders, you will transform complex datasets into scalable AI/ML solutions, ensuring models are interpretable, reliable, and aligned with product and business goals.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine learning or a related field
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with actuaries, analysts, and business stakeholders
- Minimum of 3 years of industry experience in Data Science or Machine Learning, with a proven track record of developing and deploying models for customer churn prediction, customer segmentation, and customer lifetime value estimation
- Proficiency in AI and ML frameworks and libraries such as scikit-learn and PyTorch; strong experience with data manipulation libraries including Pandas and NumPy
- Solid programming skills in Python and SQL, with the ability to analyse complex datasets and interpret analytical findings effectively
- Strong understanding of Generative AI concepts and techniques, including large language models (LLMs) and prompt engineering; hands-on experience with libraries such as Hugging Face Transformers, LangChain, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) frameworks
- Experience in model versioning, monitoring, and implementing automated retraining pipelines. Experience with MLflow or similar model lifecycle management tools
- Experience working with code repositories (GitHub)
- Ability to balance technical excellence with practical business considerations, particularly within regulated industry environments
- Hands-on experience with Databricks and Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google
- Understanding of insurance data and domain knowledge such as policies, claims and underwriting
