About the Role
The Senior iOS Software Engineer will design, build and optimize advanced iOS applications that support Regal Entertainment Group’s digital products and customer experiences. This role has a strong impact on how millions of users discover and enjoy cinema content, ensuring high performance, reliability and an engaging user experience in a fully remote environment.
What will you be doing
- Design, develop and maintain high-quality native iOS applications using modern architectures and best practices.
- Collaborate with product, design and backend teams to define, refine and implement new features and enhancements.
- Integrate data, analytics and reporting capabilities, leveraging Advanced Power Business Intelligence to support data-driven decisions.
- Ensure application performance, security, scalability and accessibility across a wide range of iOS devices.
- Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance and mentor other engineers to elevate engineering standards.
- Write clean, testable and well-documented code; implement automated testing and continuous integration practices.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in production environments.
- Stay current with iOS, BI and mobile technology trends, proposing improvements to architecture and tooling.
- Language: Swift (Swift 6 preferred) , C# (Back-end), Next.js (Web)
- Platform: iOS 16+ (targeting 17+)
- UI: SwiftUI (primary) + UIKit (legacy interop)
- Architecture: Modular with Interface/Implementation separation; DI; SPM
- Build System/Project: Tuist
- Networking: Alamofire (plus URLSession where appropriate)
- Dependencies: Firebase (incl. Crashlytics/Analytics), Braintree Payments, Core Data
- Testing: Swift Testing or XCTest, snapshot-testing; WireMock or equivalent for API simulation
- CI/CD: Fastlane, GitHub Actions; App Store Connect/TestFlight workflows
- 5–15 years of professional experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on iOS development.
- Deep Swift (5.9+/6), SwiftUI in production; comfortable with UIKit interop.
- Strong with modern concurrency (async/await, actors) and modular architecture (MVVM, DI).
- Testing mindset: unit/UI/snapshot with Swift Testing or XCTest.
- Solid REST/JSON integration; performance & reliability using Instruments and crash analytics
- Collaborates across product/design/backend; mentors and up-levels the team
- Bonus: payments (Apple Pay/Braintree), analytics/experimentation, feature flags, notifications, Tuist
- Professional proficiency in English at C2 level (spoken and written).
- Experience working in remote, distributed teams and in agile environments.
- Availability for a full-time, remote position based in LATAM.
- Industry experience in film, media or entertainment is a plus.
