Within Azure Data, the business intelligence team builds and maintains Power BI which is the undisputed leader in BI tool in the industry today and serves as the bridge between data professionals & Office users. Power BI’s core value proposition is to enable end users to get answers & insights from their data through data visualization.

We are looking for a Product Manager to lead the Core Visuals experience in Power BI—one of the most visible, high-impact areas of the product. This role owns the strategy, roadmap, and execution for how users visually explore, understand, and communicate data at scale.

Core visuals sit at the heart of Power BI’s value proposition: charts, tables, matrices, maps, and emerging AI-assisted visual experiences used by tens of millions of users across the world’s largest organizations. This role is ideal for a PM who thrives at the intersection of UX, data visualization, performance, extensibility, and AI.

You will work closely with design, engineering, research, and partner teams across Microsoft Fabric, Copilot, and the broader Power Platform to evolve visuals from static charts into intelligent, interactive analytical experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Work on delivering a strategy for the core visuals for Power BI
  • Deliver product specifications, work with engineering and design to design, execute and ship features for the Power BI product
  • Deliver customer presentations and conference presentations
  • Work with key leadership and senior leadership and manage up communication on timelines and customer feedback

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer science/Mathematics/Physics/Engineering AND 2+ years’ experience in product/service/project/program management or software development OR equivalent experience
  • 2+ years working with partners and customers and architecting solutions for Power BI delivering dashboards and reports that are well designed, accessible and have visual principles defined
  • 2+ years working with Power BI and developing and delivering BI end to end solutions

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

  • This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
