We’re seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Automation & Digital Solutions team in Tampere. This role is focused on building Windows desktop applications and automation software for industrial machines and systems. If you enjoy working with .NET, WPF, and automation logic more than web development — this role is for you.

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Automation & Digital Solutions team in Tampere. This role is focused on building Windows desktop applications and automation software for industrial machines and systems. If you enjoy working with .NET, WPF, and automation logic more than web development — this role is for you.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Developing and maintaining a Windows‑based automation application using .NET/C# and WPF (desktop GUI) — this is the core requirement.
- Contributing to front‑end development using Vue.js and TypeScript (preferred) for web‑based interfaces and dashboards.
- (Nice‑to‑have) Working with C++ on Linux‑based components of the system (drivers, embedded modules or edge gateways).
- Collaborating closely with hardware engineers, QA/test teams, product owners and UX designers to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
- Participating in solution architecture discussions, helping define and evolve the tech stack, coding standards and deployment practices.
- Writing clean, maintainable, and well‑tested code. Troubleshooting issues and contributing to continuous improvement of tools, libraries and processes.
- Working on‑site in Tampere, with regular collaboration in the office to support teamwork and alignment
- Strong hands‑on experience in .NET/C# and WPF development for Windows desktop applications.
- Solid understanding of GUI architectures, MVVM (or similar) patterns, and experience delivering production‑ready desktop client software.
- Experience with automation systems, industrial software, or machine-related applications is a plus.
- Good knowledge of web front‑end technologies; experience with Vue.js and TypeScript is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with C++ and/or Linux‑based development is a strong plus (but not mandatory).
- Ability to work clearly and effectively in a team environment, communicate technical matters to both engineers and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Good problem‑solving skills, self‑motivation and a willingness to take ownership of software modules.
- Must be based in Tampere, Finland and be available for on‑site work (full‑time presence in office).
- Fluent in English;
