GlobalConnect Carrier | Stockholm or Helsinki
Are you looking to work with complex, large-scale network solutions for some of the biggest Carrier and OTT customers in the Nordics? We are now looking for a Solution Engineer to join our Complex Solutions team within GlobalConnect Carrier.
In this role, you will be a key contributor in designing, pricing, and shaping non-standard solutions that support critical digital infrastructure.
The position is based in either Stockholm or Helsinki, depending on what is most accessible for you. You will work closely with colleagues in the Nordics collaborating across borders in a distributed team environment.
About The Role
As a Solution Engineer, you will report to the Head of Carrier Complex Solutions and be part of a specialist team supporting our Regional, International, and Infrastructure Sales organizations. The team works with solution design, business case development, and pricing input for our largest Carrier and OTT customers.
The solutions are typically large and complex, often involving multiple locations, dark fiber, cross-border wavelengths, and data center connectivity. When relevant opportunities arise, you will become part of the account team and play an important role throughout the sales process, with close interaction with both internal stakeholders and technical counterparts on the customer side.
With operations across Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and Germany, GlobalConnect Carrier offers a truly international working environment.

We are looking for a team-oriented Solution Engineer with a proactive mindset who thrives in a changing environment and is motivated by complex challenges. We expect you to have around 5+ years of relevant experience within Technology or Economics. You are self-driven, take ownership of your work, and execute tasks efficiently while contributing positively to the team.

As a Solution Engineer, You Will
- Engage directly with customers and participate in technical design discussions as well as commercial offerings
- Develop business cases together with Global Account Managers for large customers such as hyperscalers and network owners
- Act as a trusted technical and commercial advisor internally and externally for key customers
- Contribute to strategic projects aimed at expanding GlobalConnect’s footprint through build or partner initiatives
- Work with classified accounts that may require special security clearance (not a requirement)

You Bring
- Experience in designing optical DWDM networks, dark fiber infrastructure, and Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks at an international level
- Full professional proficiency in at least one Nordic language as well as English
- Ability to operate at the intersection of commercial, legal, financial, and technical functions
- Experience representing a company in customer meetings and public forums such as events or conferences
- Initial screening with Talent Acquisition Partner
- First interview with the hiring manager
- Testing (personality and ability assessments)
- Second interview, including feedback and discussion of test results
- Reference checks & Security clearance
