Director Turnkey Projects – Pharmaceutical Filling & Packaging Systems (m/f/d)

Your Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for technology-spanning turnkey projects involving the construction of complex pharmaceutical filling and packaging systems for international customers.
  • Management of the entire project execution lifecycle, including:
  • Manufacturing of individual machines
  • Integration into complex production lines
  • Coordination and management of partners and suppliers
  • Final line acceptance at the customer site
  • Direct leadership of sub-project managers (machine-responsible project managers).
  • Planning, coordination, and facilitation of the turnkey project core team.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for customers, managing project activities together with internal teams and specialist departments.
  • Full responsibility for on-time, on-budget, and quality-compliant project delivery, with decision-making authority at turnkey project level.
  • Steering and coordination of complex project-related topics, including:
  • Claims management
  • Change orders and variations
  • Proactive alignment with all relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Definition of project deliverables, results, and work packages in coordination with the customer and project team.
  • Review and management of commercial and legal aspects of projects in collaboration with Contracting and Project Controlling.
  • Identification, resolution, or escalation of issues, risks, and challenges across all project levels.

Your Profile

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plant Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
  • Extensive experience as a project manager for large-scale, complex projects, preferably in pharmaceutical machinery or plant engineering.
  • Proven success in managing multiple, complex turnkey projects.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, including agile approaches.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional and international teams.
  • High level of leadership capability, strategic thinking, and decision-making authority.

Languages & Mobility

  • Very good German and English skills (mandatory).
  • Willingness to travel internationally to customer sites and company locations.
