Key Responsibilities:

  • Handling of FFPE and frozen human tissue, cell culture and blood/serum samples including preparation of tissue sections with microtome or cryostat, embedding/re-embedding of tissue specimens
  • Preparation of Tissue Micro Arrays (TMAs)
  • Check-In of shipments (including validation project related sample shipments); cross-check of shipping documents and actual shipped goods with regard to correctness and completeness
  • Preparation of solutions, buffers and other reagents
  • Stockpiling, maintenance of reagent and general inventory lists, reagent supply orders
  • Work according to GCP regulatory requirements
  • Documentation in lab journals
  • Operation and maintenance of devices
  • Preparation and review of SOPs and INStructions
  • Job training for new staff members


Qualifications / Experience:

  • Successfully completed training as a BTA, MTLA, CTA, or biological laboratory technician
  • Experience with histology, cell- and microbiology, molecular biology, biochemistry
  • Seminars / Trainings, attendance of congresses regarding
  • IHC
  • ISH
  • Molecular biology techniques
  • (Protein) biochemistry techniques
  • Other topics related to the field of work
