Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of histological sections using rotary and sliding microtomes
- Processing of fresh biopsies and embedding of tissue
- Sample processing: H&E staining, macrodissections, and fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH)
- Sample management: archiving and de-archiving of samples, as well as preparation for sample shipment
- Preparation and execution of orders
- Maintenance and regular servicing of laboratory equipment
- Working in a regulated environment (GCP)
- Creation and revision of standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Documentation and analysis of results
- Database entry and maintenance (electronic recording and documentation of all processes using LIMS)
- Preparation and follow-up of internal and external audits
- Support in the establishment and validation of new analyses
- Successfully completed training as a BTA, MTLA, CTA, or biological laboratory technician
- Initial work experience in the aforementioned tasks is desirable
- Good command of both English and German
- Proficient in using the MS Office package
- Structured, responsible, and independent working style
- Strong communication skills and team spirit
- Additional CT-Gyn qualification (DGZ) or other cytology skills are beneficial
