Summary
We are looking for a Software Engineering Manager to lead the team that contributes to a variety of products and projects that include application designing, application development and integrations with our Asset Management, Mobile Device Management (MDM) and software distribution services. These services are essential in helping us deliver a seamless user experience that meets the high expectations of our company's workforce. Our goal is to make the technology invisible so that everyone can focus on doing the work they love to do at the best of their ability.nnAs demand for these services continues to grow rapidly, we are building a team to serve Apple’s needs at global scale. We manage large volumes of devices (macOS, iOS, and tvOS) and support diverse business units with unique needs—including new opportunities through AI-powered automation.
Description
The Software Engineering Manager is responsible for guiding the team's software development work. Working closely with business partners to capture requirements and translate them into deliverable projects. Support the team in evaluating, maintaining, and improving the existing code base. Foster a collaborative environment where engineers can learn and apply software engineering best practices to their work.nnYou will lead a team of engineers across the full software lifecycle, from planning to delivery. You'll help remove blockers, facilitate discussions, and ensure your team has what they need to succeed. You'll also partner with peers across the organization to align on technical roadmaps and business priorities.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience leading technical teams or projectsnUnderstanding of software development and system designnKnowledge of programming languages like Go, Java, Swift, Python or JavascriptnAbility to work with cross-functional teams and communicate clearly
Preferred Qualifications
Previous management or technical leadership experiencenFamiliarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS)nKnowledge of enterprise systems is a bonusnExperience with Asset Management or MDM solutionsnInterest in exploring how AI tools can improve efficiency and scale services
