Student Research Assistant

Student Research Assistant (10 h/week) – Green Steel & Data-Assisted CFD

We are looking for a motivated student assistant to support a research project on green steel production.

Tasks include:

• Analysis of Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) data
• Data processing and scripting in MATLAB / Python
• Automation of parametric studies on HPC systems
• Supporting physics-based CFD studies of particle-laden flows

Your Profile:

• Enrolled Bachelor’s or Master’s student in Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field
• Familiarity with Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) (coursework or practical experience)
• Working knowledge of MATLAB and Python
• Interest in multiphase flows, fluid mechanics, or process engineering
• Prior experience with HPC or Linux environments is a strong plus (but not mandatory)

Duration: 3 months (extension possible)

Workload: 10 h/week
