Infrastructure & Security Architect


Position Details:


· B2B Contract

· Part Time: 80% (4 Days Per week)

· Duration: 96 MD over a period of 6 months

· Location: Onsite - Luxembourg

· Languages: French (English is an asset)


Role Purpose:


· Provide enterprise-level governance, design authority, and IT service management oversight for infrastructure and security in a regulated insurance environment.

· This is a non-hands-on role with no system access.

· The focus is on architecture validation, ITIL process ownership, operational control, and risk management.


Key Responsibilities:


· Act as Infrastructure & Security Design Authority.

· Define and enforce infrastructure, security, and operational best practices.

· Own and govern ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem, Configuration, Continuity).

· Prepare, run, and participate in the Change Advisory Board (CAB).

· Maintain service catalogue, RACI matrices, support model, and escalation paths.

· Audit access rights, obsolescence, and monitoring coverage.

· Build and prioritize an operational and security improvement backlog.

· Support major incident governance and continuous improvement.

· Define team skill requirements, assess gaps, and identify resilience and redundancy risks.

· Govern vendors: contract register, SLAs, KPIs, and risk monitoring.


Required Expertise:


· Senior architectural understanding of infrastructure and security:


o Windows/Linux, virtualization, networks, cloud (Azure/AWS), databases.

o Security architecture: IAM, network security, vulnerability management, DR/BCP, monitoring/SIEM.

· Strong knowledge of IT operations tools and service management platforms (e.g. ServiceNow).

· Solid experience with ITIL v3/v4 in regulated environments.

· Ability to challenge designs and vendors without hands-on implementation
