What will you do?
As part of our team, you won't just be "checking boxes." You will be part of an Agile environment where we use the latest techniques to stay ahead. We work with a modern stack including React for our front-end and a microservices architecture running on AWS. For testing, we empower our teams to use the best tools for the job, with a strong focus on Cypress and Playwright.
At Sqills, quality is everyone's responsibility, but as a Front-end Tester, you are the advocate who ensures our software remains reliable, accessible, and high-performing.
What are the key responsibilities?
- You will work in a Scrum/Kanban team alongside developers and analysts, taking ownership of one of our front-end components.
- You analyze and understand high-level business requirements and translate them into expected software behavior.
- You develop and maintain automated tests for web applications using tools such as Cypress and Playwright.
- You automate GUI tests and API tests, and collaborate on accessibility, performance, and security testing strategies.
- You feel comfortable performing manual exploratory testing for several hours when needed to find those edge cases automation might miss.
- You document test results and report them clearly to the team and stakeholders.
- You ensure developers receive fast feedback on issues by being an integral part of the development lifecycle.
- You continuously look for improvements in processes, tooling, and methodologies to improve the quality of S3 Passenger.
- Experience in test automation with tools like Cypress or Playwright, and a willingness to learn others as needed.
- Solid understanding of testing techniques and methods (knowledge of ISTQB concepts is a plus).
- Experience with both GUI and REST API testing.
- Affinity with the technical side of testing: programming, continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD), and integration with development workflows.
- Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks like React is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with Agile environments and DevOps concepts.
- You are proactive, interested in the latest industry developments, and enjoy continuous learning.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Business Intelligence, Technical Management) is a plus.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
- An enthusiastic, young, and diverse group of ~250 colleagues worldwide.
- A flat hierarchy with a lot of individual responsibility and room for your ideas.
- An open and challenging environment for ambitious professionals.
- Great benefits including a FlexBudget, supplementary pension, and lunch in our Grand Café.
- Inspiring company outings and Friday drinks on our roof terrace.
