About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain robust software solutions that support the bank’s digital transformation and operational efficiency. You will lead technical initiatives, mentor junior developers, and ensure high standards of code quality, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Software Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure applications; enhance legacy systems; enforce coding standards through code reviews.
• Project Execution: Lead or contribute to projects from planning to deployment; collaborate with cross-functional teams; ensure timely delivery.
• Technical Leadership: Mentor junior developers; provide guidance on design and implementation; support architectural decisions.
• Quality Assurance: Write and execute tests; debug systems; ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
• Continuous Improvement: Optimize and refactor code; stay updated on emerging technologies; drive process improvements and automation.

About You

We are looking for a seasoned professional with the following qualifications:

Education:

• HBO/University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

Experience:

• 5+ years in software development, preferably in banking or financial services.
• Proven experience with enterprise applications, databases, and integration.

Backend:

• Proficiency in Java and/or .NET (C#).
• Experience with Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and microservices.

Frontend:

• Experience with React.js.
• Solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Strong grasp of responsive UI design principles.

AI/ML:

• Practical experience integrating and working with AI models.

DevOps:

• Hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git workflows.

Monitoring & Logging:

• Experience with Grafana and similar observability/monitoring tools.

Databases:

• Comfortable with both SQL and NoSQL database systems.

Additional Skills

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Awareness of secure coding practices and performance tuning techniques.
• Ability to take ownership of tasks and drive solutions end-to-end.

Soft Skills

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking.
