The role

How You'll Make An Impact

  • Architectural Governance & Strategy: You will define and govern the mobile architecture, utilising tools like Dart Code Metrics to maintain code quality. You will balance the necessity of tackling technical debt with the need for efficient feature development.
  • Team Leadership & Delivery: You will lead a cross-functional team of ~8 Developers and Quality Engineers, taking full responsibility for the team’s delivery performance, motivation, and operational success.
  • Strategic Client Collaboration: Acting as a trusted partner to the Client Product Owner, Scrum Master, and Architects, you will co-create technical solutions, provide accurate estimations, and bridge the gap between business requirements and engineering execution.
  • Technical Stewardship: You will provide clear rules, guidance, and structure for the development team, ensuring your architectural vision is implemented effectively by the Mobile Tech Lead and the wider squad.
  • People & Process Alignment: You will work closely with the Scrum Master to optimise agile processes and collaborate with the internal People Manager to align on development goals, performance feedback, and promotion inputs for your team members.

What Is Important To Us

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Extensive experience (7+ years) in mobile application development with a strong track record in architecture
  • Deep expertise in Flutter, including state management, architectural patterns, and governance tools (e.g., Dart Code Metrics)
  • Proven experience leading development teams (6+ people), with a focus on delivery, performance management, and team motivation
  • Strong consulting skills with the ability to provide technical estimations, manage stakeholder expectations (PO/Architect level), and justify technical decisions
  • Experience in balancing technical debt reduction with business feature delivery
  • Ability to translate complex architectural concepts into clear tasks for the team
  • Proven track record of maintaining high engineering standards by conducting detailed code reviews and directly contributing to the implementation of complex system components when necessary.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills to navigate between client consulting and team leadership
  • Experience with native mobile technologies (iOS and Android) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Nice-to-haves: Interest or experience with BLE/NFC technology, experience with the Windows ecosystem
