We are looking for a DevOps Team Lead to join our DevOps organization. The role focuses on building, maintaining, and improving the tools and automation used by engineering teams to deploy and run applications through CI/CD pipelines.


Role overview


This is a hands-on leadership role. You will lead a DevOps team while staying close to the technical work, supporting delivery and operations, and working day to day with development, QA, business, and product teams.


Responsibilities


  • Lead a team of DevOps engineers and support their daily work
  • Set technical direction and improve how systems are built, deployed, and operated
  • Focus on automation, especially around CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
  • Work closely with development, QA, business, and product teams
  • Participate in production support and act as an SME during incidents
  • Support onboarding of new team members and contribute to hiring activities
  • Promote knowledge sharing and incremental improvements within the team
  • Work in an Agile setup, with regular interaction with ITIL-based processes


Skills & experience


  • Experience working with complex systems that require high availability
  • Strong Linux background
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
  • Experience with tools and technologies such as:
  • Git, GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory
  • Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes / OpenShift, Helm
  • Maven, Gradle, SonarQube (or similar)
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Geneos, or similar)
  • Scripting experience (Shell, Python, Groovy, Perl)
  • Container orchestration and management experience
  • API management and application-level protocol knowledge (TLS/SSL, HTTP(S), DNS)
  • Working knowledge of SQL / Oracle (DBA experience not required)
  • Familiarity with Agile ways of working (Scrum / Kanban, JIRA, Confluence)
  • Cloud experience, with GCP being a plus
  • Troubleshooting experience at both application and infrastructure level
