As the Head of sales, you will assume a pivotal role within the Company’s commercial division, overseeing the strategic direction and execution of sales initiatives in the Romanian market. You will spearhead the development of comprehensive sales plans aimed at fostering strategic partnerships with key merchants and driving the adoption of Mokka's services across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the identification and pursuit of strategic partnerships with major accounts in the retail, and payments sectors, leveraging your extensive network of senior executives in Romania to facilitate high-level negotiations and secure lucrative contracts
- Lead introduction of key partners, including negotiation of key terms and expand cooperation with existing partners through strong communication and relationships with senior executives, account planning
- Oversee activities of the sales team in Romania, providing mentorship, guidance, and strategic direction to drive their performance and ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Maintain a high level of focus on recruiting, target setting, performance evaluation, and coaching
- Deliver results with new and existing partners in line with the company’s budget
- Stay updated with evolving customer needs, market trends, and competitor activities, leveraging market feedback and data analytics to inform strategic decision-making and drive continuous improvement
- Develop comprehensive sales forecasts and performance metrics to monitor progress, identify areas for improvement, and optimize sales effectiveness and efficiency
Required skills and experience
- 7+ years of progressive commercial experience, with a proven track record of success in developing and managing major accounts in the retail, IT, e-commerce, or payments sectors within the Romanian market
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate and leverage a strong network of senior executives and decision-makers in various retail areas to drive business growth and secure strategic partnerships
- Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of market dynamics, customer behavior, and industry trends
- Good communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Proven ability to drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a focus on delivering measurable business outcomes and exceeding revenue targets.
- Excellent level of communication in English
