Role Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for the planning and control of one or more projects across defined regions or sectors
  • Ownership of all planning activities in accordance with established planning procedures and standards
  • Providing planning input and reporting across central planning functions and project delivery teams
  • Development, maintenance, and management of detailed programmes covering pre-construction, construction, and commissioning phases
  • Creation and upkeep of progress measurement systems and supporting databases
  • Preparation and issue of regular progress and performance reports
  • Forecasting key milestones and undertaking critical path, delay, and float analysis
  • Implementation and management of Earned Value Management techniques
  • Continuous monitoring of programme performance and productivity metrics
  • Verification and audit of site progress and reported data
  • Attendance at programme and coordination meetings, engaging with clients and supply chain partners as required
  • Preparation of programme information to support tender submissions
  • Development of programme histograms and related planning outputs
  • Chairing and contributing to planning and coordination meetings
  • Supporting short-term and weekly workface planning processes
  • Resource and cost loading of schedules to support forecasting and control
  • Providing planning data to support commercial processes, including applications for payment
  • Preparation of contract review and planning-related reports
  • Ensuring the quality, accuracy, and integrity of all schedules, data, and reports
  • Proactively identifying programme risks, communicating issues, and advising on mitigation measures
  • Recording and assessing delays, disruptions, and programme impacts
  • Supporting claims preparation and providing planning evidence for contractual or commercial matters
  • Travelling to project locations as required to fulfil role responsibilities
  • Managing, mentoring, developing, and supporting planning personnel as required
  • Deputising for senior planning or management roles when necessary
  • Undertaking additional duties aligned with the scope of the role


Essential Criteria

  • Relevant qualification in Engineering, Planning, Project Planning, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a Project Planner or Senior Planner role on large-scale projects
  • Previous experience in data centre or similarly complex projects would be advantageous
  • Demonstrated experience leading and coordinating planning teams, with strong communication and organisational skills
  • High level of proficiency in Excel and related planning tools
