TRT is recruiting for an On-site Platform Engineer in Singapore who is responsible for the design, implementation, and management of container orchestration platforms to ensure applications are scalable, reliable, and secure. This is a core cloud application for our telecommunication clients which combines expertise in development, operations, and security.

Core Responsibilities

• Cluster Management: Design, deploy, and maintain Kubernetes clusters across various environments, including on-premises, hybrid, and multi-cloud platforms like AWS (EKS), Azure (AKS), and Google Cloud (GKE).
• Automation and CI/CD: Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines (using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, Argo CD) and use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles with tools like Terraform and Helm to automate deployments and infrastructure management.
• Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Implement comprehensive observability stacks using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) stack to monitor cluster health, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure performance optimization.
• Security and Compliance: Enforce security best practices, including implementing role-based access control (RBAC), network policies, vulnerability scanning, and secure secrets management.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration, smooth deployment workflows, and adherence to organizational policies.
• Documentation and Training: Create and maintain detailed documentation and provide training and support to other teams on Kubernetes usage and best practices.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Technical Skills:
• Kubernetes Expertise: Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture, components, networking, and storage.
• Containerization: Proficiency with container technologies like Docker, containerd, and CRI-O.
• Cloud Platforms: Experience with major cloud providers and their managed Kubernetes services.
• Programming/Scripting: Skills in Bash, Python, or Go for automation and tool development.
• IaC Tools: Knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, Helm, or Kustomize.
• Certifications (Preferred):
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
• Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
• Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS)
• Prerequisites:
