Role Overview
The Platform Control & Support Manager serves as a centralised control point for all mandate and broker-related requests across an asset management platform. The role ensures operational readiness, risk reduction, and consistent client experience, while driving standardisation, governance, and efficiency across complex operational events.
This role works closely with investment, product, legal, corporate, and operations teams, supporting mandate lifecycle events from early governance through end-to-end execution.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Escalation
- Act as a subject matter expert and escalation point for complex mandate and broker events
- Coach and mentor team members on event management, operational best practices, and problem-solving
- Ensure platform support functions meet internal stakeholder and business requirements
- Oversee daily operations related to mandate and broker onboarding
- Lead prioritisation discussions and escalation management
- Gather requirements from investment, product, legal, and corporate stakeholders
- Perform initial and detailed impact assessments across operational, legal, regulatory, and vendor frameworks
- Manage asset transfer and restructuring events end-to-end
- Coordinate with legal teams on IMA changes and documentation workflows
- Ensure accurate platform configuration, setup, and operational readiness
- Maintain strong operational controls, governance standards, and process compliance
- Drive process improvements and standardisation initiatives
Domain & Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of asset management operations, including onboarding and platform capabilities
- Proven expertise in derivative products and complex financial markets
- Solid knowledge of mandate lifecycle management
- Strong awareness of regulatory and legal frameworks within asset management
- Ability to interpret and work within service catalogues and core operational capabilities
- Excellent attention to detail across mandate data, documentation, and controls
- Strong experience managing multiple complex requests, projects, and deadlines
- Proven ability in requirements gathering, impact assessment, and issue resolution
- Strong root-cause analysis and problem-solving skills
- Proactive approach to operational risk identification and mitigation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build, influence, and manage senior stakeholders
- Experience working across cross-functional and global teams
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and environments
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement
- Comfortable working in rotational global shifts (UK / APAC / US)
- Exposure to AI, coding, or blockchain technologies
- Experience in global asset management platform operations
- Background in workflow optimisation, automation, or process re-engineering
- Familiarity with multi-shift, cross-regional operational models
- Experience supporting large-scale platform transformations or system upgrades
- 2 Technical Rounds + 1 Client Round
- Laptop and stable Wi-Fi required for interviews
- Business Formal or Business Casual attire
- Candidates must be willing to work from Chennai in a hybrid model (3 days office)
- Notice period must strictly be 0–15 days
- Profiles must clearly reflect required domain experience and skills
- Candidates must be able to clear strict background verification
