Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Front-End Developer to join our team in a full-time, fully remote role. This position is ideal for an early-career developer who is ready to apply foundational front-end skills, gain hands-on experience, and grow within a supportive development environment.
As a Front-End Developer (Junior Level), you will work closely with senior developers, designers, and product teams to build, enhance, and maintain user-facing features across Loyal To Cumbria’s platform. You will contribute to real-world projects while developing strong technical and collaborative skills.
Key Responsibilities
Front-End Development & Implementation
- Assist in developing and maintaining responsive, user-friendly front-end interfaces
- Implement designs using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in line with best practices
- Support the creation and maintenance of reusable UI components
- Work closely with designers to translate UI/UX designs into functional web pages
- Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate APIs and dynamic content
- Participate in code reviews and development discussions
- Test front-end features across browsers and devices
- Identify and resolve layout issues, styling bugs, and UI inconsistencies
- Support performance, accessibility, and usability improvements
- Stay up to date with front-end technologies, tools, and best practices
- Apply feedback to improve code quality and development efficiency
- Continuously develop skills in responsive design and accessibility standards
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate in a remote environment
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and grow as a front-end developer
- Degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Exposure to modern front-end frameworks such as React, Vue, or similar
- Familiarity with CSS frameworks or preprocessors (e.g., Tailwind, Bootstrap, Sass)
- Basic understanding of UI/UX principles
- Personal projects, coursework, or portfolio demonstrating front-end skills
