(Junior) Software Developer (m/f/d) – Travel Technology

On behalf of a leading digital travel organization, we are recruiting a (Junior) Software Developer to join a central IT taskforce focused on building and optimizing mission-critical platforms in the travel sector. You’ll collaborate closely with senior IT stakeholders, contribute to high-impact projects, and build a strong professional network across multiple technology teams.
What you bring
Education
- Strong academic background in computer science, business informatics, mathematics, physics, or a related field
Technical experience
- Solid knowledge of at least one programming or scripting language such as Golang, Java, PHP, C#, Python, or similar
- Good understanding of Linux and DevOps environments
Mindset & skills
- High motivation to learn new technologies and programming languages
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Structured, self-driven working style with the discipline to see projects through to completion
- Confident communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Languages
- Fluent German and English (spoken and written)
Your responsibilities
- Project work: Be part of a cross-functional taskforce delivering key IT initiatives within the travel domain
- Technology optimization: Analyze existing IT processes, define KPIs, identify optimization potential, and implement improvements in collaboration with relevant teams
- System development: Contribute to the development and enhancement of travel-related IT systems, including booking and platform solutions
- Stakeholder support: Prepare analyses and decision-ready information for senior IT leadership
- People & culture initiatives: Support company-wide development programs such as hackathons and technical workshops
- Collaboration: Participate in regular exchanges with technology teams across multiple locations in Germany
