Job Description

We're looking for a talented and user-focused Game UX Designer (must have UX design experience in the gaming industry) to join our team behind iconic titles like Fruit Ninja and games from the Wordscapes franchise. In this role, you'll help shape exceptional user experiences across some of the world's most recognized mobile games. You'll work closely with product managers, developers, and visual designers to craft intuitive, engaging, and player-first interfaces that drive both player satisfaction and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

User Research

  • Conduct user research to understand the needs, behaviors, and pain points of our target audience
  • Utilize various research methods (e.g., surveys, interviews, usability testing, and analytics) to gather actionable insights
  • Create personas, user journeys, and experience maps to represent user needs and guide design decisions

Information Architecture

  • Organize and structure information in a way that ensures users can easily navigate and find what they need
  • Develop wireframes, site maps, and user flows that clearly represent the architecture of digital products
  • Ensure that content is structured in an intuitive and user-centric manner, focusing on accessibility and ease of use

Wireframing & Prototyping

  • Design wireframes, prototypes, and interaction flows to illustrate design ideas and test concepts
  • Use tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or Axure to create low and high-fidelity prototypes for web and mobile applications
  • Iterate on prototypes based on feedback from stakeholders and user testing to ensure an optimal user experience

Usability Testing & Feedback

  • Plan and conduct usability testing sessions, gathering both qualitative and quantitative data
  • Analyze usability test results and user feedback to identify areas of improvement
  • Refine designs iteratively based on testing, ensuring the final product meets both user expectations and business objectives

Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams

  • Work closely with Product Managers, UI Designers, and Developers to ensure that designs are feasible and align with technical constraints
  • Participate in design reviews and collaborate on integrating feedback from stakeholders
  • Communicate design rationale and user-centric decisions clearly to other teams and stakeholders

Design Systems & Consistency

  • Contribute to and maintain a design system that ensures consistency across all product interfaces
  • Create and adhere to UI patterns, guidelines, and best practices to ensure cohesive and consistent user experiences across multiple platforms
  • Work with the UI design team to ensure that design solutions are visually polished and aligned with the product's branding

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in designing features and building games for live-service games
  • Extensive understanding, skills, and experience with core-loop, gameplay, and systems design
  • Proven success in gameplay, game system design, balancing, and live-ops strategies
  • Experience on game engines like Unity is a plus
  • Player centric design and strong player empathy
  • Understanding other design areas outside gameplay and systems is a plus
  • Passion for playing and making games
  • Knowledge in latest mobile gaming trends
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • English is the primary working language; candidates must be fluent in spoken and written English
