Job Description
We are a medical technology company supporting hospitals across Northern Europe with advanced clinical and technical solutions—including medical device services, clinical training and large-scale patient monitoring programs. As we expand our analytics capabilities, we are seeking a Data Scientist to help transform complex technical and clinical datasets into meaningful insights.
In this role, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support clinical workflow optimization, operational improvements, technical investigations, and evidence generation for research initiatives with hospital partners. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about healthcare data and eager to grow into a specialist in medical data analytics.
Your Role
Data Analysis & Modeling
- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from patient monitoring and medical device systems.
- Build and validate statistical models to detect trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to clearly communicate insights to internal teams and hospital stakeholders.
- Analyze device usage, workflow patterns, and performance metrics to identify opportunities for operational optimization.
- Support investigations related to technical issues, protocol adherence, or system adoption.
- Quantify the impact of new operational initiatives, training programs, or technology deployments.
- Contribute to collaborative research projects through data extraction, exploratory analysis, and preparation of figures/tables.
- Assist in preparing datasets and results for publications, white papers, and conference materials.
- Ensure data quality and compliance with regulatory standards such as GDPR, MDR, and ISO 27001.
- Work closely with engineering, medical affairs, data engineering, and customer-facing teams.
- Participate in discussions with hospital partners to understand their data needs and share analytical findings.
- Contribute to the development of internal analytics tools, frameworks, and best practices.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Biomedical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Health Informatics, or related discipline.
- Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Solid understanding of statistical methods, data modeling, and data visualization best practices.
- Experience with tools such as Jupyter, Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, or comparable.
- Experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is an advantage.
- Familiarity with time-series analysis, signal processing, or device/sensor data.
- Exposure to healthcare environments, biomedical signals, EHR data, or medical devices.
- Interest in machine learning, predictive analytics, or operations research.
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills.
- Curiosity and eagerness to learn clinical and technical domain knowledge.
- Ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborative mindset with a proactive, team-oriented approach.
- Fluency in a Nordic language (e.g., Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, or Finnish) would be a strong asset for this role.
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
