AI / BI Developer – 22,035 AED per Month (Contract)

Location: Dubai, UAE-On-site Dubai Internet City Building 10 AE

Travel: Up to 25% (UAE & Saudi Arabia)

Duration: 6 months (strong potential for long-term extension)

This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced Power BI–focused AI / BI Developer who thrives in client-facing environments and understands how construction, financial, and accounting data come together to drive smarter project decisions.

This is a newly created role with a clear mandate: build scalable reporting capabilities from the ground up, partner directly with clients across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, and embed AI-driven insights into modern, executive-ready dashboards.

What You’ll Do

Power BI Dashboard & Report Development (Primary Focus)

• Design, develop, and maintain custom Power BI dashboards and reports for enterprise clients
• Translate complex construction, accounting, and financial data into clear, actionable visual insights
• Own dashboard UX, data modeling, and report storytelling to support executive and operational decision-making

Embedded AI & Advanced Analytics

• Embed AI-driven features into Power BI dashboards to enhance insights, forecasting, and automation
• Apply AI concepts such as prompt engineering or AI-assisted analytics where appropriate
• Bonus: contribute to improving or optimizing AI assistants used for insight generation

Client-Facing Consulting & Requirements Gathering

• Travel with the customer success team to client sites across the UAE and Saudi Arabia (up to 25%)
• Lead requirements-gathering sessions with stakeholders to understand data, reporting, and analytics needs
• Act as a trusted analytics advisor supporting clients’ data-driven initiatives from concept to delivery

Project Delivery & Collaboration

• Support a broader Customer Success / Delivery team focused on custom BI and AI solutions
• Collaborate on analytics project scoping and statements of work
• Provide post-deployment support, training, and enablement to ensure adoption and long-term value

What You’ll Be Working With

• Construction project, operational, and financial/accounting data
• Power BI as the primary visualization and reporting platform
• ERP and external data sources integrated into unified reporting models
• Modern data platforms and APIs to support scalable analytics solutions

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on Power BI experience, including dashboard and report development
• Strong accounting and financial data reporting experience (required for success in this role)
• Prior experience supporting or working within the construction industry (strongly preferred due to domain complexity)
• Experience in a client-facing role, including requirements gathering and stakeholder communication
• Solid understanding of data visualization best practices and UX principles
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Experience embedding AI-driven features into BI tools
• Exposure to Databricks, Delta Share, or similar modern data platforms
• Familiarity with REST-based APIs and integrations
• Some hands-on experience with AI tools, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted analytics
