About Us:
OpenHouse.ai is the leading AI research and deployment company transforming the $300B+ new home construction industry.
Our Quantitative AI platform is deployed across 30+ markets in the U.S. and Canada, helping forward-thinking builders make smarter decisions around pricing, demand, forecasting, and growth. We empower home builders to deliver more quality homes by building the intelligence backbone that transforms fragmented data into actionable, decision-ready insight.
About the Role:
We are looking for a highly skilled Solutions Engineer who pairs a solid foundation in data pipeline development and design with the ability to work directly with clients to understand, organize and document their data from a variety of sources.
Reporting directly to the Head of R&D, you are expected to learn fast, have ownership of the design and conceptualization of how we store, process and describe clients data and contribute directly to early and post commercialization products. In doing so you will gain a deep exposure to the housing industry and the data that powers it—an economic powerhouse where your work could improve the lives of millions of families over the coming decade.
You will work in a productive and collaborative environment, synthesizing and generalizing learning across clients. Paired with our team of strong data engineers and scientists, you will enable, create and hone systems that will impact billions of dollars of revenue a year for new home builders.
If you're excited about the idea of disrupting an antiquated industry by taking home builders underleveraged data from an afterthought to the core of how they run their business, we want to hear from you.
Your Typical Responsibilities:
- Work with Clients, Engagement Managers, Customer Success and Data Analysts to deeply understand the nuances of client’s data, allowing our models to best leverage and extend upon their existing data.
- Create a system of reference to provide operational contexts for our AI models and support our Engagement Managers to maximize the value of our client’s data so our clients can have confidence that the data we are presenting represents their source-of-truth systems
- Participate in client meeting to gain a deep understanding each customer’s business and operations
- Lead technical meeting with client’s IT team or 3rd party partners as the technical data expert
- Work with our integration engineering team to investigate available data and data sources, design integrations and code the data pipeline for new clients into existing productionized systems
- Improve and expand integration capabilities with existing new home building technologies (ERPs, CRMs, data warehouses etc)
- Architect generic solutions to make integrations faster, more scalable and less error prone
- Migrate and run existing clients through new capabilities, tuning machine learning parameters and models along the way
- Optimize and tune existing machine learning models when new data is available
- Discover and correct data anomalies, working with our engagement team and solution engineer to ensure the insights we present are based on the ground truth
About you:
- A highly skilled software engineer with a passion for data structures and real-life applications of technology combined with the skillset to communicate how data is organized and stored
- Recognize the importance of how you represent yourself and the company to external stakeholders
- Able to work directly with technical members of client’s teams
- Proficient in Python, experience with pytorch and/or tensorflow is an asset
- Experience with, or ability to understand, data warehouses, data lakes and legacy ERP databases
