Job Summary
The Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing cloud-based infrastructure and services. The role focuses on ensuring scalability, security, availability, and cost efficiency of cloud environments while supporting application and infrastructure teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS / Azure / GCP
- Implement and manage compute, storage, networking, and database services
- Looking for a candidate who is capable of establishing a data Lakehouse to enhance customer data access with improved ease, speed and security.
- Looking for a candidate who has played a key role in administering Microsoft 365 Administration (Entra or Active Directory, Exchange, Security, Endpoint) for clients, maintaining a good security record with no incidents.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM, or CloudFormation
- Monitor cloud resources for performance, availability, and cost optimization
- Implement security best practices, IAM policies, and compliance controls
- Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows
- Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and application issues
- Manage backup, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams
- Maintain documentation and operational runbooks
- Participate in cloud migrations and modernization initiatives
Required Skills & Technical Competencies
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform:
- AWS (EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch)
- Azure (VMs, VNets, Storage Accounts, Azure AD, Monitor)
- GCP (Compute Engine, VPC, Cloud Storage, IAM)
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing, firewalls)
- Experience with Linux and/or Windows server administration
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and alerting tools
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI)
