The Role: DeFi Quant Engineer

You’ll architect and optimise on-chain trading systems and execution frameworks. This is a hands-on engineering role where you’ll work on low-latency pipelines, smart contract integrations, and gas-efficient code to power systematic strategies across decentralised markets.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Build and maintain high-performance trading infrastructure for on-chain execution

✅ Develop smart contract interactions and optimise for gas efficiency

✅ Design scalable data pipelines for real-time analytics and decision-making

✅ Profile and tune systems for latency, resilience, and fault tolerance

✅ Collaborate with quant researchers to integrate strategies into production systems

Requirements

✔ Strong programming skills in Rust, Solidity, TypeScript, or Python

✔ Experience with distributed systems, low-latency architecture, and DeFi APIs

✔ Deep understanding of blockchain mechanics, AMMs, and liquidity dynamics

✔ Familiarity with RPC nodes, subgraphs, and blockchain data indexing

✔ Solid grasp of performance optimisation and system reliability

Nice to Have: MEV-aware execution, cross-chain infra, HFT systems, open-source contributions
