Role Purpose:
The SIAM Security Service Manager will operate as part of the SIAM integrator function within a multi-supplier environment, ensuring that security governance, assurance, and compliance are embedded across all service providers. The role requires deep knowledge of information security standards and frameworks, combined with knowledge in SIAM practices to effectively integrate, align, and assure security across a federated supplier ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the single point of governance and accountability for SIAM oversight of supplier security management activities, ensuring alignment with organizational security policies
- Coordinate and manage relationships with customer stakeholders as well as supplier representatives to ensure positive working relationships and buy in from suppliers for customer needs regarding security within the SIAM ecosystem
- Leverage strong negotiation skills for gaining supplier support to meet customer defined objectives and expectations
- Establish and manage SIAM security governance processes across multiple service providers, ensuring consistent compliance and reporting
- Feed security governance and oversight information for suppliers into the overall SIAM team and service
- Coordinate and oversee the delivery of supplier level security controls, risk management, and assurance activities across the SIAM supplier ecosystem
- Oversee and govern Integration of customer security requirements into end-to-end service design, transition, and operations, working collaboratively with other service towers (service desk, End User Computing, Infrastructure services etc.) within the SIAM ecosystem
- Monitor, assess, and report on security posture and risks across all suppliers, escalating where necessary to senior stakeholders
- Support security incident management and response processes, ensuring cross-supplier cooperation and adherence to defined procedures
- Act as a trusted advisor to the customer SIAM and security leadership, providing assurance that the SIAM model is operating securely and effectively
Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrable knowledge of SIAM principles, practices, and governance models
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to negotiate pleasantly and diplomatically with service providers, fostering positive and collaborative working environments.
- Stakeholder, relationship management, and interpersonal skills to ensure positive working with customer stakeholders and supplier representatives
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally, ensuring effective communication, trust, and cooperation across all levels of suppliers and government stakeholders.
- Strong diplomatic negotiation skills to ensure buy in obtained from suppliers for customer objectives. Experience in managing challenging conversations and resolving conflicts constructively, supporting a culture of partnership and mutual respect within multi-supplier environments
- Understanding and knowledge of security management within complex, multi-supplier environments
- Good understanding of security frameworks, including SPF, ISO 27001, NCSC Cyber Essentials, and ITIL security practices
- Ability to manage SIAM security risk registers, governance boards, and assurance reporting
- Experience of working within central government or regulated public sector environments
- Strong incident management and problem-solving capabilities
- Professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor) are desirable
