We are supporting a leading company in the retail sector in the search for an experienced PHP Developer for a long-term project. You will join a modern environment, work with a dynamic team, and have the opportunity to transition into a permanent role after the project period.

Location: Basel-Land (1–2 days home office after onboarding)

Start: ASAP

Workload: Full-time

Duration: 6–12 months, with option for internalisation

Contract Type: Temporary employment

Your Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using PHP and Java.
• Create and optimize SQL queries and database structures for high-performance systems.
• Develop and manage APIs for internal and external integrations.
• Administer and troubleshoot Linux-based environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust IT solutions.
• Provide on-call support during agreed evenings and weekends to ensure system availability.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation processes.

Your Profile

• Proven experience in PHP and Java development.
• Strong knowledge of advanced SQL and relational database design.
• Hands-on experience with API development and integration.
• Proficiency in Linux OS administration.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to provide on-call support during evenings/weekends as per schedule.
• Fluency in English and French
• Nice to Have: • Experience in logistics or supply chain IT systems. • Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
