About the role:

We are looking for a mid-level engineer that will be reporting to the manager of Interactive Game Client Development. The Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, maintaining, documenting and testing computer software in an agile SCRUM development environment. In addition, the engineer will create and maintain interactive game clients used to run on desktops and mobile devices.

What you will be doing:

  • Developing games using our in-house engine.
  • Identifying and debugging complex issues.
  • Working with Game Designers and Artists to implement the team’s vision of the game.
  • Productivity: Efficiently and effectively perform assigned tasks and accept new projects, as demand requires timely and accurate completion.
  • Quality: Consistently perform to high standards of accuracy, thoroughness, and timelines.
  • Accountability: Self-accountable and accepts consequences of his/her actions.
  • Demonstrates unquestionable integrity in their daily duties.

Your Strengths:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in TypeScript, Javascript, HTML5, CSS3 preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of web-based application development.
  • Be self-motivated and proactive to get stuff done.
  • Understand that change, iteration and failure are required to create and design great things.

Also would be great if you could…

  • Have experience with Unity
  • Have experience with Linux or UNIX.
  • Have an understanding if 2D animation tools - Spine experience would be beneficial
  • Have experience in Xcode, Android studio, Backbone.js, Cordova
  • Have experience of automated build tools and CDN technologies
  • Have previous gaming industry experience.


Please note that this position requires your presence in our office in North Ryde, NSW Australia as the work cannot be done remotely.
