PHP Developer
I’m currently working with an established and forward-thinking technology company based in Leeds, who are looking for a Junior to Mid-Level PHP Developer to join their growing development team. This is an exciting opportunity for a developer who is ready to take on new challenges, work on diverse projects, and grow their skills within a supportive and innovative environment.
As a Junior to Mid-Level PHP Developer, you will play an integral role in developing and maintaining web applications, working alongside senior developers and other team members to deliver high-quality digital solutions. This position will allow you to build upon your existing skills and gain exposure to a variety of new technologies, enhancing your development career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of PHP-based web applications.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code to meet project requirements.
- Collaborate with senior developers, designers, and other stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Contribute to both back-end and front-end tasks, with an emphasis on PHP.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure best practices and high-quality standards.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Support testing, debugging, and deployment of applications across various environments.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience with PHP
- Familiarity with PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, (or similar).
- Strong understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and database systems (e.g., MySQL).
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- A strong desire to continue learning and develop your technical skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js).
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs
