We are looking for an Onboarding Automation & AI Engineer to radically improve how new customers are onboarded onto the Insly platform.
This role sits at the intersection of implementation, product configuration, and AI-driven automation. You will work closely with Implementation Specialists, Implementation Leads, and Product teams to transform today’s largely manual onboarding activities into repeatable, automated, LLM-driven workflows.
Your mission: make onboarding faster, more scalable, and more consistent by automating configuration wherever possible.
This is a high-impact role at the heart of Insly’s growth strategy. By automating onboarding, you directly enable faster revenue recognition, better customer experience, higher margins, and scalable global growth.

About The Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Automate customer onboarding configuration including documents, forms, referral rules, workflows, and integrations.
- Build intelligent automation systems to reduce manual configuration work, making use of Claude Code (and/or similar) and REST APIs.
- Work closely with implementation teams to identify automation opportunities, translate onboarding steps into automation patterns, and monitor/support uptake.
- Create reusable onboarding templates for common customer and product setups.
- Apply AI to interpret requirements and generate configurations.
- Identify process bottlenecks and continuously improve onboarding workflows.
- Significant reduction in onboarding time per customer.
- Improved consistency and quality of implementations.
- Implementation teams able to handle more customers with the same resources.
- Onboarding becomes a competitive advantage for Insly.
- Extensive knowledge of Claude Code, AI and cloud tooling ecosystem, process automation and relevant industry trends.
- Strong engineering mindset with a solid technical background.
- Prior experience as a developer, software engineer, system analyst, or similar technical role.
- Ability to design and maintain APIs, scripts, and configuration automation.
- Comfortable working with complex, configuration-heavy systems.
- Not just an AI enthusiast, but someone who understands how systems are built and operated in production.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams.
- Background in SaaS onboarding, implementation, or professional services.
- Familiarity with insurance or financial software.
- Experience building internal automation tools or frameworks.
