About The Role

This role sits within the Legal, Compliance and Risk Management department. As a Contract Manager, you will provide legal services on issues concerning the rights, obligations and privileges of the organization, you will work very closely with sales and operational colleagues and with the EMEA Legal Counsel.

Your Main Responsibilities Will Be

  • Providing professional legal support to local business and attorneys in the form of legal research and drafting of legal and business communications
  • Drafting, negotiating and/or approve commercial contracts and procurement contracts, letters of agreement, policies and other documents within general commercial legal areas.
  • Supporting sales teams in sales in negotiations with commercial and government customers
  • Providing resolution of business or technical issues under EU regulatory and commercial laws by identifying legal solutions and recommending a course of action.

To Be Successful In This Role You Will Need

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a legal field
  • At least 3 years of experience supporting a sales team as a business partner
  • Excellent communication abilities with strong language skills – you can review and revise documents in a professional-level English
  • General understanding of commercial laws, and commercial contracts
  • Ability to influence others inside the company through explanation of facts, policies and practices
  • You have a pro-active “can-do” attitude and strong business partner mentality. You have ideas to improve processes, and you are able to have an impact on the people and customers you support
  • Compliance is one of our core values, and you will help uphold and monitor company compliance standards. You will proactively respond to any compliance-related questions or complaints, and always do the right thing in daily work
  • Driven and analytical attitude, trustworthy and authentic personality

Considered as an advantage:

  • Expertise with GDPR data privacy
  • Familiarity with intellectual property rights and their regulatory obligations
  • Any European language knowledge (Finnish, Italian, German, Spanish, French, Polish)
  • Familiarity with Finnish construction industry standards a plus, including Rakennusurakan yleiset sopimusehdot, YSE1998.
  • Experience from the Manufacturing or Technology industry
