Our client is a leading global investment manager, specializing in Real Estate, Infrastructure and Structured Products. As part of its continued growth, the firm is looking to strengthen its Luxembourg finance team by hiring an Investment Accountant.
Key Responsibilities
As an Investment Accountant, you will be responsible for the accounting and financial operations of Luxembourg SPVs. Your main duties will include:
- Daily accounting of Luxembourg SPVs, including monthly and quarterly closings when required
- Assisting with the preparation of annual Luxembourg statutory accounts, as well as interim and management accounts
- Supporting the annual closing process and regulatory reporting to the authorities (ECDF)
- Assisting with the preparation of VAT returns and annual tax declarations for Luxembourg SPVs
- Processing cash and intercompany account reconciliations
- Monitoring SPV bank accounts and Borrower Debt Service Accounts
- Monitoring and managing invoices
- Preparing payments and recharges between Luxembourg entities
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly interest statements for borrowers
- Handling ad hoc accounting and finance-related tasks
Profile & Experience
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2–3 years of experience in industry or within a fund administration / accounting firm in Luxembourg
- Previous exposure to debt investments is preferred
- Real Estate accounting experience is considered an advantage
- Strong knowledge of LuxGAAP is a significant asset
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus
- Working knowledge of accounting software (experience with eFront is an advantage)
- Strong computer skills, with very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
