Role Overview

As a Senior Manager – Statutory and Tax Controller, you will lead statutory accounting and tax compliance activities in Luxembourg, ensuring full adherence to financial/tax/regulatory requirements and Accenture’s global policies. This role demands strategic oversight and the ability to influence senior stakeholders while driving process excellence and risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities


  • US GAAP, Statutory Compliance & Reporting: Oversee preparation and review of financial statements under US and local GAAP for all legal entities in the country. Manage complex statutory audits across multiple entities, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Venture & Acquisitions: Responsibility for the integrity of financial reporting under US/local GAAP, accuracy and timeliness of statutory/tax filings and the accounting principles applied to the integration.
  • Tax Governance and Compliance: Responsibility for Direct corporate and indirect tax compliance, working with external tax compliance provider and Accenture’s VAT Center of Excellence. Coordinate with the Global Tax teams to ensure robust tax governance ensuring compliance with global tax policies.
  • Risk & Controls: Champion internal control frameworks, SOX compliance, and audit readiness. Identify and mitigate financial and compliance risks proactively.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to Finance and Country leadership on US GAAP, statutory and tax matters. Build strong relationships with external auditors and global finance teams.
  • Process Optimization: Drive automation, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives across statutory and tax processes. Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and scalability.


  • Qualifications & Skills


  • Education: Qualified accountant.
  • Experience: 10+ years in statutory accounting and tax compliance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within a multinational environment.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of US GAAP, local GAAP, Experience with ERP systems (SAP S4/Hana) and advanced data analytics tools.
  • Leadership Competencies: Strong strategic thinking, influencing, and stakeholder management skills. Proven ability to work in a high-performing teams and manage complex projects.
  • Languages: French and English mandatory
