About the Role:

Job Title: Penetration Tester

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute scoped penetration tests against cloud-native services and applications hosted on Bedrock/SageMaker.
• Assist in security testing of APIs, model integrations, and vector data stores supporting Generative AI workloads.
• Perform adversarial AI testing such as prompt injection, jailbreak attempts, and misuse simulations under defined test plans.
• Assess security controls including IAM permissions, KMS encryption, VPC networking, and logging configurations.
• Support threat modeling activities focused on AI misuse, data exposure, and privilege escalation risks.
• Produce clear, actionable findings with evidence, risk assessment, and remediation guidance.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in penetration testing, red teaming, or offensive security.
• Strong hands-on expertise with services (IAM, KMS, VPC, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, Bedrock).
• Experience conducting cloud-native penetration tests and application security reviews.
• Familiarity with generative AI threats (prompt injection, data leakage, model inversion, adversarial inputs).
• Mandatory Proficiency in Python + Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Go, Bash, or PowerShell).
• Working knowledge of offensive security tools (Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nmap,Prowler, Pacu, ScoutSuite).
• Strong understanding of network security, authentication, and API security testing.

Desired Qualifications:

Location: Canada (Remote)

Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $75000 – $80,000 Canadian Dollar annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
