Beyond the storefront UI, the WD serves as the technical bridge between clients’ Miva stores and their broader business ecosystems. This includes writing custom integrations with external APIs, ranging from modern RESTful marketing platforms to legacy XML-based warehouse systems, without relying on third-party libraries. The WD must be comfortable delivering large-scale builds, handling ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and participating in project discovery across multiple client accounts, while demonstrating strong time management and focus.
This is a client-facing delivery role, not an internal product or R&D position. The WD collaborates closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and other delivery team members to translate business requirements and user needs into high-performing solutions that adhere to defined scope and timelines and maximize platform capabilities. As a key technical liaison, the WD communicates effectively with clients in both written and verbal forms, and excels at translating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable guidance for non-technical stakeholders.
You will:
- Scope, estimate, and execute development tasks based on approved client requirements, signed SOWs, and predefined service offerings
- Develop, customize, and maintain eCommerce storefronts using HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+ vanilla) within platform template and configuration layers
- Maintain deep platform knowledge and proficiency to apply optimal store configurations within the Miva admin
- Develop and support integrations using platform and third-party APIs, including REST and SOAP-based services, to connect Miva stores with ERPs, CRMs, payment providers, shipping systems, analytics platforms, and marketing tools
- Consume, map, and validate external data within eCommerce workflows while handling authentication, rate limits, and error conditions appropriately
- Troubleshoot and resolve frontend, backend, and configuration issues within the eCommerce platform and connected systems
- Optimize storefront performance with a focus on Core Web Vitals, SEO, accessibility, and eCommerce conversion metrics
- Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility using a mobile-first approach
- Configure full-funnel eCommerce analytics and GA4 tracking using GTM
- Develop optimized purchase flows to improve usability, accessibility, speed, and conversion performance
- Implement merchandising solutions to enable cross-selling, dynamic product listings, and personalization
- Configure rule-based promotions and discounts
- Apply eCommerce-specific SEO best practices, including schema markup, product metadata optimization, faceted navigation handling, and crawlability
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following established standards and best practices
- Participate in code reviews, QA validation, and client acceptance testing aligned to defined acceptance criteria
- Follow established deployment procedures, coordination processes, and release schedules across multiple client environments
- Collaborate closely with UX Designers, Project Managers, and other delivery roles to execute pixel-accurate designs and meet delivery milestones
- Track time accurately against approved client work, provide regular status updates, and communicate blockers or scope risks proactively
- Perform other duties as assigned
- 5+ years of professional web development experience with at least 1 year focused on eCommerce platforms
