Role Overview

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join our engineering team and contribute to building asynchronous, event-driven microservices that power VIA’s logistics platform.

What you will work on

Designing, developing, and maintaining backend microservices

Building RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI

Implementing event-driven workflows and background processing

Working with PostgreSQL, Redis, and messaging systems

Collaborating closely with Frontend, QA, and DevOps teams

What we are looking for

2+ years of backend development experience

Strong Python skills using version 3.10 or higher

Experience with FastAPI.

Solid understanding of REST APIs and microservices architecture

Experience working with PostgreSQL

Experience with RabbitMQ, Kafka.

Experience with AWS is a plus.
